POM : Planification, Optimization, et Modelization
The Single European Sky ATM Research Programme (SESAR) manages and harmonizes the research and developpment efforts of the different european partners, with the aim to develop the future ATM (Air Traffic Management) system. The definition phase is co-financed by the European Commission and Eurocontrol. The developpment phase (2008-2013) is organised and managed by the SESAR Joint Undertaking.
See the official SESAR website for more details.
The research topics explored by the POM team were included in the DSNA (the French Air Traffic Services provider) proposal for participation to the SESAR JU.
There are many participants to the SESAR progamme, organized differently depending on the SESAR phase: a consortium for the definition phase, and an Joint Undertaking for the developpment phase. You may refer to the SESAR web site for the full list of participants.
